Dell Inspiron Webcam gone missing

would check device manager, and look for the exclamation mark, drivers could be missing... woudl just download the software from dell and see if the drivers/software help.

That not solving it would lead me to guess that the cam is now broken, it happened to me, the connection between the board/usb header and my camera's hardware got severed or popped off, and now it can't be found.
