I have been upgrading a system with an old dell with an athlon 750k and an msi a78 mobo.
However the system refuses to post, not sounding a short beep, and there is no picture displayed on the screen.
I have sent back the cpu and mobo, and they were tested and were fine.
I have replaced the 250W PSU with a 450W XFX model and also replaced the case to accommodate.
I have used 4gb OCZ Platinum 1333mhz ram (I know it works since I only just upgraded my RAM earlier this year, from these modules to 16gb), and I have tried with each bank, to no success.
I have also tried both an ATI 5850 and an Nvidia 9400GT, neither with any success.
When the ram is removed, a ram error beep code sounds, but there is no code without a gpu, as this is an apu board.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
