Hey guys!

I am a new pc builder who is looking for a gaming pc build that can play modern games at say 60 fps (budget is in the title). Anyway, I thought about some parts I wanted in my build and here they are (this part is just some parts I want in the part list! This is not my part list either!!) Bye the way I don't have a monitor, keyboard, or mouse (I'm sorry but this is my first time building a pc and I don't have a pc or a laptop)

1. Nvidia GPU
2. I7 4790k??
3.SSD
4.Z97 Motherboard
5. Astro A40 Headset

Thank you for your time!

Solution
1) Need to be more specific, perhaps go with the GTX 770.
2) Great processot, keep it
3) SSds are great for boot speeds but you will also want a hard drive for extra data storage
4) Great motherboard, compatible alreadt
5) A headset's a headset

You will need to buy a case and a power supply also. A 550 watt power supply should fit your needs. If you go with a GPU stronger than the 770 get a 600 watt.

Solution
Tough to get a SSD and a decent HD in there .... after the SSD you;d be stuck w/ something very slow such as the WD Blue or perhaps dropping down from a 780 to a 770. The SSHD which combines a small SSD and a 2 TB HD in one component will give you slightly less OS boot time (16.5 seconds) as opposed to an SSD (15.6 seconds) but it will also load ya games much faster

With the following build, I have included everything to get you started. I have included a monitor, keyboard/mouse, your desired headset and the operating system (Windows 8.1). I have also included the GTX 770 but you can save $85 USD if you drop down to the GTX 760 or save further if you go down the AMD route. I have also included a SSD and everything else you stated in your initial post; whilst still in budget. I did not include a 128GB SSD either, but a hefty 256GB.

The Xeon processor I have included is similar in performance to the i7-4770, yet more affordable. I have included a H97 motherboard rather than a Z97 and a non-overclockable CPU; if you were to overclock, the costs would have been higher or I would have had to compromise on other components. Rather than the conventional 8GB RAM, I included 16GB instead, alongside a decent quality case and PSU.

All the best. :)

I used an i5. Unless you plan on doing video editing or rendering the jump to the i7 is not worth it.

I left $90 for a headset. The $150 headset you want is not worth it IMO. I would rather put the money toward a better gpu to get a better gaming experience but ultimately its up to you.

Or with a GTX 760, but I recommend the R9 280 over the 760
