Hello,
Recently I have been experiencing some issues with my current windows 7 installation and have decided to start the process to do a clean install of windows 8 (for a variety of reasons). I run my OS off a SSD, store data on a single 2TB drive and do gaming off a 2x500gb RAID 0 setup. My question is: if I do a clean install of windows 8 to the SSD, will I be able to access the data currently stored on my RAID drives or will I have to backup that data and re-raid the drives after the switch-over. Also any other miscellaneous advice for entering the world of windows 8 would be kindly appreciated if possible.

Solution
If the RAID was done in hardware (through the motherboard controller), then it should be visible to any new build as a single drive. Probably a good idea to make an external backup of it just in case.
