I have the XFX R7850 PCI 2GB DDR5 card in my win 8.1 64bit system and just added the Qnix QC2710LED monitor. Both are supposed to support 2560 x 1440 screen resolution, however Windows and the AMD Control Center software seem to max out at 1920 x 1080. I have the latest drivers from AMD so I'm not sure how to get where I need to be. Thanks for any suggestions.

The maximum pixel clock rate for HDMI 1.0 was 165 MHz, which was sufficient to support 1080p and WUXGA (1920×1200) at 60 Hz. HDMI 1.3 increased that to 340 MHz, which allows for higher resolution (such as WQXGA, 2560×1600) across a single digital link

Short story, if your cable is HDMI 1.0, this is the reason. try plugging in with a DVI cable

Did not know of HDMI option. I will try a DVI cable and advise. Thanks.

I don't know what I was thinking of, but I'm using DVI cable. Just had a brain fart I guess. Sorry.

OK, problem solved. Not a software problem, not a hardware problem, rather a meatware problem. I had the DVI cable plugged into the DVI/VGA port (the wrong one anyway) Also, I may have been using a bad DVI cable. Thanks for getting me on the right track.
