My PC at the moment is an Acer Aspire x1430 and I was wondering if I could install this SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... along with my current HDD a Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 500GB. Also would I have to upgrade my PSU for this and would it be compatible with the Acer Aspire x1430

More about : ssd http www newegg product product aspx item n82e16820171740

It may depend on the exact model number. The SSD should work provided you have an open drive bay in the case and you have a free SATA port on the motherboard. Your best bet is to open the case and see if you have an open drive bay and a free SATA port.

At the moment I have a free SATA data port with a cable and a SATA power cable from my PSU. Also would I need to upgrade my PSU. (It is the stock PSU that came with the Acer Aspire x1430) http://i.imgur.com/mJYvchA.jpg

The SSD should not draw much power. You will, more than likely, need to upgrade the PSU if you ever add any component that requires a bit of power such as a GPU.
