Hi
My phone easily connects to wifi networks that are in coffee shops or other public places.

however, when I try to use the internet of my windows7 laptop, although it demonstrably shares thanks with connectify or mhotspot applications, the smartphone is connected, but nonetheless does not have internet.

are unrooted smartphones capable of wifi reverse tethering ? how to achieve that without extra apk's?

could it have to do with ipv6 not working in that connection?
I have tried unticking it but the problem persists

I don't completely understand your question.. Are you trying to get internet on your laptop from your phone, while your phone is connected to wifi?
Either way, what kind of Android device do you have? What carrier?

what you are mentioning is tethering. I mean reverse, that is, sharing internet by windows 7 pc with android smartphone. the details will not help, because the brand of the internet provider and phone producer is Polish, they are plus and Pentagram combo, respectively.

the internet is a 3g/lte received by a zte mf831 modem and is meant to be shared by lenovo x200 computer's wifi device.

The phone is an android 4.1.2 installed model. I have checked it today to be able to receive wifi on public hotspots, but so far, it has only occasionally been received by the smartphone and this only for a while.

The phone is often losing connection with with wifi and authenticates , saves and loses again, which is not the case in the hotspots and not when another pc tries to connect to lenovo x200's internet.

I hope it makes the problem clear now.

The sentence structure confuses me the most.
So, your trying to connect your Android device to your Windows laptop. Your Windows laptop has stable network connection, and you want to use Windows' connection and allow your Android device to connect to it?
This is possible for other devices through a PAN ad-hoc network, but it depends on what your phone supports.

Take a look at the directions below.

Steps to configure it on Windows can be found here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/connect-blue...

Or try this:

Go to control panel
Search for "Devices and Printers"
Click on the Phone icon
Click on "Connect Using"
Click on "Access Point"

Hi,
By your second post I understood your question. Reverse tethering is possible but you have to connect with USB cable and you need rooted phone. Rooting voids warranty. If you have rooted phone I can tell you further else I can help you to get your phone rooted, tell me whats your phone?

Hey damn! I forgot an easy way.. You can do this with WiFi without rooting :)
Download and install Connectify app on your PC and it will turn it into WiFi hotspot:

I have tried conncetify and two the such. The other computer could use the internet of the one with connectify, but at the same time, the the phone ruminated forever through the process of authenticating. Now that I have tried it, the connection of the phone is stable - maybe because I have switched locating service as proposed here:

Nonetheless, there is no internet in the smartphone.
