We need much more info.
How much power is your system drawing during your main usage?
Whats your power factor?
How long do you need the UPS to run the system?

By "system" I mean everything that you want to have plugged into the UPS

Ive had this one for over a year. It powers an i5 (ivy bridge) 3-3.5 HDD, and a GT640 and a single 22" LDC for 5 min. Thats long enough to finish my current thought, save everything and shut it down. 550 VA is the sweet spot for value i think. In hind sight i should have my cable modem and wifi router plugged in to a smaller UPS but I don't.

Your system should draw less power depending on your monitor.

I Just looked at the load chart. 550VA will run 13 min at 165 Watts. I've never waited that long to shut it down.
