GPU not working after CPU upgrade

Greetings, im having quite a trouble right now, i swapped my intel G620 for a 2500, because i got it dirt cheap, and well, when i booted the system, my radeon HD 6750 didn't gave any video, i didn't pay importance to that yet, just swapped the vga cable to the onboard video, i checked temps, ran stress tests and everything was allright with the cpu, and when i started looking why the gpu wasn't giving any signal, i checked the bios and it said that there was no card on the pciex16 slot, then i started to worry.

So far, i reseated the card, checked the power connector, removed the mobo battery for a while, im sure that im missing a detail here, my system is this:

CPU: Intel 2500 (i have the spare g620 also)
motherboard: intel dh61ww
GPU: Radeon HD6750 (Quite old, i know)
HD: A 500GB western digital and a 500GB seagate (dont remember which i boot lol)
PSU: Evga 500W

Every help is apreciated.

The graphics card worked again when i swapped the old cpu (G620), i dont know why with the other cpu (2500) didn't recognize the gpu, any ideas?

So, do you mean that your HD 6750 works with only with your old processor and not with the new one, OP?

Yes, just like that.

My first suggestion would be to update to the latest bios version. Your new CPU may not be supported with your current bios version.

If that does not solve you problem It is generally recommended to reinstall your operating system and all drivers when changing out a CPU. Not doing so can cause conflicts that have all sorts of unattended consequences.

Just updated the bios, still, video card is not recognized in bios, im starting to believe that i have a faulty chip here. The guy who sold it to me told me that he took it from a hp desktop pc, could hp have used a "cheaper" oem 2500 with no pciex16 support?

That is always a possibility but generally CPUs are one of the most reliable part of a PC with a very low DOA rate. What is your motherboard model?

Edit -nvm I somehow missed it in the OP

Have you tried starting in safe mode so that it uses generic drivers to see if it may be a driver or firmware issue?

Its set there, the bios lists all the pci and pcie ports, and lists what you're using on them, thats why im saying that its not recognized even by the bios. With the other cpu (the G620) it appears like its ocupied.

The minium version required for both cpus was the 0016, i had the 0038, and i updated it to the 0048, was not the latest, but according to intel page, i couldn't jump from the 0038 to the latest version, and i used the express method.

Okay, I was worried you wouldn't catch that in the instructions. I would continue to follow the BIOS update path (Intel ME update, 0099, 0120) but I would also update your chipset driver.

In your BIOS and/or Windows System Information, is your 2500 being reported correctly?

Yes, its reported correctly. Im currently installing the 0099 bios, if that dont work i'll try the 0120 bios.

Good and bad news, i just updated the bios to the latest 0120 version, the good news, the user interface is quite nice now, the bad news, still no signs of life on the pciex16 port. I'll try with another motherboard later and another vga later, so far, another cpu (intel g620) works. Im kinda disapointing myself for this purchase.

Greetings, a little update here. I just have tested the cpu in another motherboard, i had the same results, cpu working but not no signs of life on the pciex16 slot.

All that i have left is to test with another video card, to discard the minium possibility of incompatibility between those parts. Im trying to undestand a logical reason of why a cpu could work this way, cpu working 100% but not comunicating with the pciex16 slot.
