Hey all,
This will be my first time ever building a pc. For the past 10 years I always bought pre-built computers. Been reading about building your own rig for the past few months and now want to jump in. Anyways here is what I really want from my system:
Playing games in the highest settings possible (ultra). I really don't want to upgrade at least for one year so definitely want to play games in high settings for at least a year before I have to upgrade. I also plan on playing not higher then 1920 x 1080. I will not be doing any Photoshop or any other editing whatsoever. This is strictly gaming computer. But I really don't want to overdo with the funds. Gaming pcs can cost over 2000 CAD and I really want to keep it minimum. My max budget is 1000 CAD but I don't mind going over 200 to 300 more but I just don't want my rig to cost 1500 as I am a student still haha. I have noctual nhd14 cpu cooler already. I also have 800W corsair psu and 250 gb ssd. I need everything else. I just want to get at least 60 fps in pretty much any game I decide to play coming out this year. I don't have any favorites but I do like MMOs, rts, fps. I do have some cpus in mind such as G3258, any i3, any i5 but all the k ones would go in the more expensive range and I really don't need to overclock as I don't and don't plan on doing anytime atleast for the next year or so. I also like fx 6300 but I have heard amd cpu are "not efficient enough". I'm hoping to find the best configuration possible in the range of 1000 CAD! Oh and since I am a Canadian resident I can buy stuff from tigerdirect, newegg, ncix, best buy, and memory express. Thanks y'all

Yes you are right when you have the Pentium Anniversary, it is almost similar to a non-overlock i5. But when you have an i5 then clock the you will have good CPU and a great pair with the Pentium. Most people say an i5 is a budget CPU which I agree, but I will say the Pentium is...
If you plan to play games on ultra then here's a build. I excluded the parts you already have.

thanks. Both of you have recommended an i5. Why is an i5 required when I saw games being played by the new Pentium g3245 with good frames? I mean will I lose much if I say went with an i3? As long as I can get NO lag or stuttering then im okay! The games don't necessarily have to be running at 60 fps...just enough so I don't see any stuttering. Sorry not trying to be rude or anything but im really out of the loop with the whole custom building and gaming

i5 is one of the best matchups you could pair any GTX 700 series GPU with (Well the best in budget) out of budget would be the i7 4770k or the i7 4960k and so on

Most people say an i5 is a budget CPU which I agree, but I will say the Pentium is a budget budget (yes I meant to say it twice) is the best CPU. But in my opinion. It will not be great for the gaming industries for 2-3years from now.
