Hello, I come to the Tom's Hardware community with another issue. I had been problem free for many months but jinxed it when I installed the game Goat Simulator two days ago. It played just fine the first night, but issues cropped up the next night. In the middle of a game session, the PC hung and required a hard boot. This involved hanging audio and both monitors turning solid colors. I tried to play several more times and the time it took for the PC to hang varied each time. I tried to play Diablo 3 and the same issue occurred.

I have tried the following with no improvement;
Fresh install of latest video drivers
Fresh install of Goat Simulator
Full scan using Malware Bytes
Disabling one of my monitors
Dxdiag with no problems (will post log)
SFC with no errors (can post logs)

Since the problem only occurred after installing the game, it has to be the fault of either the game itself or one of these four components; DirectX, MSdotNet, or C++ Visual x64 or x86. On the Goat Sim forums, one of the suggested fixes is to manually re-install the four listed above. I tried this but it made the PC hang immediately upon launching games rather than in the middle of a session.

Anyway I'll post my specs and logs and let somebody more knowledgeable guide me. Thanks in advance!

Uninstalling Goat Simulator temporarily made the problem worse. When I would load another game it would cause the PC to shut down instead of hanging and then the PC was unresponsive (nothing happened when I hit the power button). I had to open the case, disconnect the PSU cables and re-seat the GPU to remedy this. As of now, the PC still hangs when any game loads.

EDIT: Rift seems to be running without any issues.
