Hi all,

I got a HDD with Windows and a SSD for Linux. I have installed Windows first and after that Linux with the Windows HDD disconnected to be sure to install on the right drive.
Long time it worked that i could choose in the UEFI Bios the drive to boot from, either the SSD or HDD.
Then i deactivated hyperthreading in the UEFI Bios for better CFD simulation performance on Linux.
Now i tried to switch to Windows, but in the UEFI Bios the HDD is not listed anymore. There only appears the Linux SSD.

Any idea how to fix this and get Windows run again without loosing my whole data?

Thanks a lot!!!

Solution
first make shure there is power to the hard drive and it is conected to the motherboard.
plug the ssd in sata 0 and hdd in sata 1.
if it still doesent work (although the above dont matter because you chose from bios) plug the hard drive in a diferent sata port.
also check if you have disabled the drive so it doesent boot.
if nothing happens reset the bios.if then still nothing happens worst case scenario hdd has failed.
