Hey there, i bought the ASUS Z87-PLUS recently and even though this is quite embarrassing im not sure how to get to the 4 way optimization menu..

I downloaded AI SUITE 3 from some shady site but every time i try to OC my computer restarts (as it should) but then an error appears instead of continuing the OC process.

Does anyone know where to go (specifically) to get to the 4-way optimization that is already installed on the board?

Solution
To get a clean install of the official Asus utility, first uninstall your current AI Suite 3. Then download/unzip/run the AI Suite 3 Cleaner (first link) - when you go to run it, right-click on the run button and select "Run as administrator". When it's complete, download and install the official copy (second link).

There is no 4-Way Optimization installed outside of AI Suite. You do have the option of going into your BIOS to the Extreme Tweakers tab and scroll down to the Speed Step row, where you can select the target CPU speed. That's as close as your going...
It's in the AI suite 3 menu bar if you have the correct version. You can download the most recent version of AI suite 3 from ASUS official website here, no shady versions necessary:

What was the error message that you got when attempting the software overclock?
