Windows 8.1 upgrade?

Ok here's the problem :)

I can have either Windows 8 or windows 8.1 from onthehub since I am a student..

I am currently having issues with the windows 8.1 which I got from the same website...

And the question.. If I install windows 8 , would windows update automatically make it windows 8.1?

Yes. Windows 8 is pretty much a dead issue. Too many driver and application incompatibilities. If you are having issues with your installation I would recommend doing a refresh and then if you don't like the user interface you can install classic shell which returns the desktop and start menu just like windows 7 without the stupid metro UI. What kind of issues are you having? Perhaps it's something we can work through.
