Hello,

I just recently bought r9 290 Vapor-x and when i installed it at first my displays were turning off and drivers were crashing, then later on my pc started to restart after of few minutes of using my pc (at my friends place the gpu worked fine when we tried it). I reinstalled windows, and tried few different versions of drivers aswell and its still the same. When i put back my old GTX 650 Ti everything is fine. Im using some cheap mobo (latest bios) and cheap rams though. Would be thankful for any kind of help. Thanks

PC Specs:

fx 6350 @ 4.5
Kingston 8gb RAM 1333 hz ( 2x 4gb, cheap)
Mobo: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 (latest bios)
GPU: GTX 650 ti Boost / r9 290 Vapor-x
PSU: corsair cs650m

Its was tested on another computer and it was working like it should, i brought it back to the company i bought from and they've tested it there and it was ok.

Proofy

Admirable
*bump* Do you have both the 6/8 pin ports on the card connected to your PSU?

Motherboard has the latest BIOS (check once again): http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A78LMUSB3/HelpDesk_Download/

Then uninstall any Catalyst gfx driver and run Driver Sweeper form SAFE MODE: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.h...
Have it remove any AMD and NVIDIA<<<!!! graphic driver remnants it can find.

Then reboot and run CCleaner to clean up any REGISTRY errors and other crap that may be causing software conflicts: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Lastly, install the latest driver again for your GPU and OS.
