Hi,

I bought a Benq GW 2450HM monitor recently. (it was the cheapest monitor with a 1920 * 1080 resolution.)

I am facing a weird issue with this.
Even though I set my resolution to 1920 * 1080 it couldn't fill the screen till the edge.
For the monitor to display things till the edge of the monitor I had to set the monitor settings to Overscan.

Now every alternate time I start the machine, the monitor loses the overscan settings. When I restart the machine the picture comes till the edge again i.e, it overscans.

So it goes like this...
machine turns on 1st time: no overscan, an ugly thick black border is at the edges.
2nd time: Overscans, picture perfect
3rd time: no overscan, ugly border.... and so on.

Windows 8.1 and Sapphire 7950.

But it is not a graphics card issue. I removed the card and put the connection thru the Intel HD Graphics. Same issue.

I connect via HDMI and switched the cables as well.

Take the monitor back and get a refund or exchange.
