I have decided to get a new cooler for my CPU which is an i7 4790K. I would like to go for a water cooler due to the fact I want to do some heavy OC on the CPU. But my main concern is whether Water cooling systems such as the H100i would be safe to transport in the car to LAN parties often?

It should be, but a noctua nh d15 would do a better job and also cheaper, have you thought about dismantling the cooler and then installing it when you get there?
