My power goes out often and every time it does,my PC is running.
However, none of the parts are damaged and are still working fine.
You just may want to plug all of the cables out when the power goes out.If you have your cables plugged in and the power suddenly returns,it can damage the PSU and other electonics around the house.
Hope this helps. :)

I just took off the part of the power cordle of the PSU, I didn't take it completely out of eletric charge. Because I let the other side of the power cordle connected. Theres no problem right?

I'm sorry,but I don't completely understand you.
You left the power cable in the PSU? And the power is still down?

Then the PSU isn't going to get damaged.
The part that is in the hole might get damaged.
But you will be alright, don't worry about it. :)

Well,it can't damage it if it only happened one time.
Don't worry, you will be OK. Just make sure you plug out the cables when the power goes out.
All the best. ;)

Are you sure it was a regular power outage? Where your neighbours for example also affected?

If not, turning on the PSU might have blown a fuse in your house's power box.

Then it's probably the PSU.It can't handle the voltage or something.
What PSU are you using?

That indicates a problem with the PSU or the wall socket you plugged it into.

What PSU do you have exactly (brand, model, wattage)? And has it ever worked? Also, how old is it?

XFX 750w, it's like 2 months old. My powerbox is for 2 houses. When I turned the PSU on, the light of the house went down

So you've used this PSU before and this is the first time it happened?

If you plug the PSU (and ONLY the PSU, take it out of the system) into a different wall socket, preferably in a different room or on a different floor, can you turn it on?

Note: You may blow a fuse again or worse by trying this, it's entirely on your own risk. If you don't want to take the chance, take the PSU to a computer repair shop and let them test it.

Then it's either that:
1. The PSU is overloading the power box and the power goes out,
2. There's a problem with the PSU or
3. There's a problem with the power box.

I think it's the powerbox, because the powerbox is for 2 houses. With TV on etc etc etc. I already have problems with the Powerbox, sometimes when I turn on a vacumm cleaner the light goes down

That sounds like the powerbox is either broken or doesn't have the capacity for 2 houses with modern electricity usage. Best thing would be to contact your power provider/power net management company. Maybe they can fix/replace the power box.

Then there's a problem with the power box.
I would suggest calling some one to check it out.Tell them your problems and they will figure it out.

I think the problem is not on the PSU, because i've been playing etc etc, never get off. Just when the lights go down, what do you guys think?

Definitely a problem with the power box, especially since the power also goes out in other situations you described.

It's probably the power box.
You should call someone to check it.As Vexillarius said,it probably can't handle all the modern electronics that 2 houses use.

My GPU it's really power hungry too it's an 4870x2, it needs altleast 650w to work, the minimum wattage required for it, it happened again after 2/3 hours with the PC on. 2 times today.

Try disabling one of the cards and see if that works.

Oh,I thought you Crossfired the 4870.
Try calling someone tomorrow.Tell them what's your problem and they may be able to figure it out.
It's either the PSU or the power box.
Also, have you tried plugging in the PC somewhere else in the house? The hole where you have your cable plugged in may have some issues.

I doubt it's the PSU. 750 watts should be plenty. Also, if the PSU is the problem the power wouldn't go out when you're vacuuming or turning the TV on.

Your priority here should be getting that power box fixed.
If the problem persists after that (which I don't find particularly likely) then the PSU (or the wall socket) might be the problem.

Ok, so if you are sharing a panel between two houses, it sounds like the panel is not big enough for the job.

Typically, if lights dim when air conditioning or a vacuum kicks on, this is a result of the in-rush current drawing more amperage than the system was designed for during normal use.

Fixes:

* Have an electrician install a higher amperage panel from the street (this can be an expensive task, because in some cases a larger gauge wire will be neccessary)
* Don't use multiple appliances at the same time that draw high current. The hot water heater is the largest appliance in your house (typically). You should think about turning off the larger appliances such as hot water heater, etc when you are running your computer. Leave the vacuum cleaner off.

This is a hard situation to control if you are sharing a panel with a neighbor. You might also consider getting a battery backup to prevent surges to your computer, or at the very least a surge protector if you don't already have one.

By the way, if your neighbour is having the same problem, you might be able to make a deal with them to share the costs for the power box.
