Good Mobo Upgrade?

Hi,
I have an Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.01GHz and 8 gigs of DDR2 RAM installed. I'm wanting to use this pc for some light gaming and was wondering what a good but cheap motherboard upgrade would be. Preferably one that my RAM and CPU would be compatible with.

What's your budget?
You may want to consider changing all of those parts,since the PC looks like a dinosaur.

My budget would be $100. I would like to upgrade evrything but im just gonna do it all one part at a time

Well,I wouldn't buy a socket AM2 motherboard.I would get either am AM3+ or LGA1150 motherboard.
Do you prefer Intel CPUs or AMD CPUs?

I dont really mind an AMD or Intel, i just want the best quality for the price

Well,the Intel Core i5s are better for gaming and more expensive,while the AMD CPUs are still decent for gaming,but little bit cheaper.
