Is ASRock H97 Fatal1ty Performance a good mobo?

hi just a quick question. i'll upgrade my pc and im planning to buy the i5 4670K and i wonder how will the ASRock H97 Fatal1ty Performance perform? can i overclock my cpu with this mobo? oh and im planning to buy the msi gtx 760 with 8gb of ram. i'll be gaming at 1440x900. Thx!

Yes, Asrock makes decent boards, PCBs a little on the thin side, No, Get a Z97 if you want to OC, and that will be fine, probably max setting with most recent games.

BTW, the MSI will be very quiet, so good choice

If you haven't bought the CPU yet, I would recommend getting the new Devil's Canyon version, i5 4690K to go with the Z97 mobo. It has the new polymer TIM under the IHS which should make it run cooler and OC better.

I think he already has the MB.


With a Hxx both the processor and memory mutipliers are locked.
