Hey,

So my processor is: Intel Core i5 4460 Haswell (4x 3200 MHz) Quad Core
My videocard is: nVidia GTX 770 (ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 - 2048MB GDDR5)
Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 5 (AMD CrossfireX & nVidia SLI)

I ordered: SPU: Corsair VS Series VS650 (650W)

Can this Corsaire SPU run this build? I know it's not the best quality, but i'm on budget ;)

Solution

That depends on the total power draw, supply temperature, and the age of the capacitors. As long as you stay under the rated temperature and load even a poor supply will last a good while. The problems with the cheap ones is that they advertise more then they can really handle under real-world normal conditions.

So i can't do anything with this shitty psu?

No no certainly not like that. I've used tier 5 category PSU for 2 years without any issue. It will work for sure. But given that it uses the not so good quality components, make it a less candidate for long run use. It is still in Tier 3 of the list so it should work. Plus added advantage would be that you will not be overclocking so this PSU won't disturb you.

"Tier three - Meets standard ATX specifications, though closer to the edges than Tier two units. These are still solid units, which still supply stable power to your system, though not ideal for serious overclocking "

So the PSU is pretty ok?
And how many hours MAX can i play with this one?
How many fps on BF4 ultra setings?

Exactly. An *unidentified* 480W PSU ran my C2D w/ first integrated graphics then a HD 6750 for 8 years straight and is still up. I'm certain VS is a better PSU than that :)

Gaming has nothing to do with PSU, you can play as long as you like. A continous stream of power through the PSU won't damage it. If you had something like FX 8 with R9 290 and wanted to OC both, then too, only after extreme OC, PSU would've been a cause of worry. Your current build can yield you 50+ FPS on Ultra on BF4 and such games :)

And i won't have any trouble with (long) gaming?
Thanks for the help mate :)

Nothing wrong with a Corsair VS, probably has 60C capacitors, but you have to really be pushing some things to have that as your internal temperature. With enough fans, or fans in the right places, you can keep a chassis much cooler then that.

Doesn't actually review very well as it uses the feared CapXon capacitors. Should be fine as long as you keep it below 80% of it is rating.
