Hello,

I have an Asus P8Z77-M Pro Motherboard and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics card. When I plug my monitor into the HDMI port on the motherboard, I get no output from the display. When I plug it into the graphics card's HDMI port, it works. I recently acquired a second monitor for my computer and need a way to use both HDMI ports simultaneously.

From what I have seen on other threads, I need to re-enable the IGP, but I have searched around the BIOS and can't seem to find anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well there's probably nothing wrong with the motherboard/IGP but as you've discovered the video card takes control of the video function. Is there a reason you don't plug both monitors into the video card? It should be fine to use one DVI and one HDMI, for example. If the monitors are HDMI only an adapter should work.

Intel mobos do not support dual monitors like AMD. When you plug in the gfx card it automatically disables the IGPU.

Think about it. The IGPU needs Intel drivers and your dedicated gfx card needs AMD/Nvidia drivers. To use both simultaneously would cause a driver clash.

If you want to use the IGPU, you must remove the dedicated gfx card.

Just fyi igpu multimonitor does work on haswell. I've done it before There's an option in the BIOS to enable it. You then need to install the Intel graphics drivers.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped! I looked at the thread sent by Scoregie and followed it through. Unfortunately, I still could not get it to work. So instead I am simply using an HDMI as well as a DVI input for my 2 monitors. Thank you to SchizTech!
