Hi! First and foremost I wanna explain the set, I have a corsair 450d fitted with 2x140 intake fans in the front and 3x 120 exhaust fans in the top, at the back there is a radiator + fan for the CPU. The gpu I'm using is a sapphire r9 280x. At idle it stands around 35 degrees and that's all fine but at load it goes to 70-75 degrees, people says that it's all fine but I had one 120mm fan left so I mounted it in the bottom as an intake so it blows air straight on the gpu and it didn't do shit really.. I consider 6 fans (not counting CPU) to be quite a lot and it seems that people have the same 75 degree temps in load with fewer fans. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there any superior way to mix the intake/exhaust of air to cool it even more?

I would put the radiator in either the top of the front, and set all the top and front fans as intake. Then use the rear fan as exhaust. Then keep the bottom fan as intake for the GPU, and make sure your PSU fan is mounted DOWN, because this runs as intake and if it is mounted so that you can see the fan when you look in the window, the PSU will be stealing air from the GPU. Keep in mind that the ambient temp in the room is also a factor, so in the summer unless you have your A/C on high, your PC will run sometimes 10 degrees higher than in the winter.

Well no matter how much air you get in the gpu fan can only take in so much, it's not the more the better, it's to see how much air the actual gpu fan can shift imo, are the fans aftermarket ones or ebay ones

This solution actually made it a bit worse. I guess I'll have to accept the fact that it is a hot card and that it might drop some when winter comes since it is kinda hot in my room to start with :/  Thanks anyways!

Yes it's probably down to tje card itself not being able to draw air in that much
