Guys,

I have a two part issure,

(A)
I wanna know that if I use R7 260x 2 cards can I use another PSU ( just like 250 watts) to supply power only 2 cards. ( The other hardware of system is being power supplied by 350 watts PSU).

R7 260x crossfirex consume about 230 watts & It's required 600 watts PSU.(Game Debate)

If It's not good to do so, Could you guys explain me the bad effects of do so please !.

I got an i5 (4th Gen.) system and not use a CD/DVD ROMs.

(B)
Can I use 550 watts PSU to this system with R7 260x CrossFireX?

-If i can't use the bad effects of do so-

(I got 250 watts, 350 watts & 550 watts PSUnits)

Thank you guys very much.

You can use multiple power supplies in a system, however I think both of yours are too small to do the job.

Those cards probably produce spikes that will exceed the rating if they say the average is 230W, you would need the peak rating and about another %20 on top of that to be relatively safe.

Tom's showed 129W under worst case conditions with a single 260X.

So your 250W would really be borderline. You can try reversing it and run your system off of the 250W and the cards off of the 350W. Still, it would be better to just go out and buy a 650W supply (XFX650 is usually around $50)
