alright so a while ago i restarted my pc and when i started it up again my second monitor wasn't showing anything. I tried detecting it by going into the properties in "this pc" and it still doesnt detect anything. I also tried another monitor. currently i have my main monitor connected to my Nvidia GTX 550 Ti graphics card, and my second monitor connected to my motherboards pre-installed graphics card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

"i have my main monitor connected to my Nvidia GTX 550 Ti graphics card, and my second monitor connected to my motherboards pre-installed graphics card"

That's why your second monitor does not work. You cannot use your Nvidia graphics card and the built-in graphics card at the same time. The built-in one is automatically disabled when you install an alternative graphics card, to avoid a driver resource conflict.

If you want to use two monitors at the same time you need to connect them both to your Nvidia card since it supports two monitors as standard, that's why it has two DVI ports.

Obviously both monitors must have a DVI input port, so if your second monitor only has a VGA D-Sub input you might get away with buying a...

"I'm using my 670 on one monitor and the second one is connected to my integrated HD3000 ?"

670? In your first post you said it was a 550 Ti so now you've lost me ????

Anyway, like I said already, you cannot use the integrated graphics (HD 3000) when a PCI/PCI-E graphics card is installed.

If your Nvidia card supports two monitors, you must plug both monitors in to that.
Forget about using the integrated VGA port, it has been disabled!
