I am planning on building a gaming pc soon. Here are the specs:

I will be changing the 500 watt corsair power supply to an XFX 550 watt power supply. My total will be about $580. I will have about $650 so I have some extra cash I would like to put towards the computer. But what upgrades should I make? Should I choose a better graphics card? A better processor? What component or components should I get that would be better and fit in my $650 budget? Thanks

I'd upgrade the MoBo and include a CPU cooler in it, your current case didn't support it so I included a cheaper and equally good case:

Go for a 280x or get an 8 series fx, or you could even squeeze in a 120gb ssd for the os into $70.
I would get the 280x personally, though.
