Should I replace my motherboard to use an AMD FX-8350 processor?

Hi,

After searching the internet for a cost-effective processor, I decided on an AMD FX-8350, but noticed it requires an AM3+ socket.
Currently, I have a duo core Intel 2.53GHz processor, the E7200. I have therefore found it uses an LGA775 socket, but it can't not compatible with the AMD processor.
I need to make a decision - Should I replace the motherboard? If so, which one should I use that would fit the old one?
I currently don't know the motherboard model, but I should find that out for tomorrow, since I don't have much time now.
I've been after an answer for quite some time, but I just couldn't find it.
Or could I possibly replace the 775 socket altogether?

Thanks,

Alex
