Hi everyone.

I have Vaio SVF14A16CXS that came originally with Windows 8. I recently format it and installed windows 7 instead but ever since i have some difficulties with drivers. The worse is that I have no network connection (no wifi, no wired). There is simply no driver to run the network card. I tried looking for suitable drivers with no success. Either it was not suitable for the operation system or for the model of computer or simply didn't work.

Can someone help ?

Thanks!

If Vaio's website has no drivers for that laptop under windows 7 you'll have to find out what chipset the mobo has (you could use AIDA64 for this) in order to download the drivers directly from Intel / AMD website and hope that they will work with your laptop.

yes, i was downloading every driver i could find from another computer to a USB and transffered it to the Vaio. However nothing seems to work. Perhaps re-installing the windows might help ?

You have one other option... if you ever peel apart this computer, you might look for a chipset maker & value on the LAN connector OR if you can find the chipset itself. Broadcom, Atheros, Realtek, RALink, Intel - all of those are "LAN chipset makers" and those names plus a base-series number might be another 'hunt' for you.
