I currently don't know which card is better, in general and for my system; therefore I need some help.

I would get the R9 290 much faster and a i7 5930k future proof CPU your frames will not drop under 60 @ 1080p if you want something cheaper get the fx 8350 runs faster in newer games vs any i5
