So today my PC restarrted about 3 times in the space of 30-40 minutes. What happens is both screens go black.. you can hear the fans speed up and then it just restarts and boots up completely normal.

The system i am running was bought back in May this year and is pretty high end.

Above is the system i have.

Im also running windows 8.1 pro.

Prior to this i have had 0 issues with it. But today it just keeps restarting.

I looked up my temparatures of my CPU and it sits around 60-65 whilst at desktop. I ran valley benchmark and it stays the same. Doesnt even go up.

My GPU temps sit around 30-40 and during benchmark go upto around 60-70.

Edit : I am running no overclocked at all.

Any ideas what might be causing it to restart randomly?

just to ask what games or software you've been using while this issue occur ,and could you use this software to see your CPU temperatures while alt+tabbed playing your game or software as usual , http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/ , cause 60-65 temp with that CPU cooler is a lot should be around 30-40 as you mentioned "whilst at desktop" , could be the CPU cooler not seated pretty well.

the temperature is quite nice actually , could you check you task manager for any "huge" CPU usage software? and is your CPU cooler placed correctly .
and when does your PC crash like when you play games or something else ?
keep the realtemp program open while you play games and like after 4-5 min of playing alt tab and check your temperatures .

Late reply but i wasn't doing anything when it crashes which is why i was getting annoyed. It hasn't done it since and has never done it whilst playing a game. Nothing CPU heavy was running because i literally just had google chrome open.
