Stress test temps too high?

I'm attempting my first overclock primarily on my aging Radeon 5850 and secondarily on my i7 930. I currently have my GPU at 850 core clock and 1220 memory clock on stock voltage--no artefacts appeared in Furmark after 15mins, and the card has yet to crash. It can probably be pushed further.

My problem is that the card hits 95C during Furmark so I'm not sure how long I can safely test for stability. I think the temp maxed at 80C in both Heaven Benchmark and Bioshock Infinite's benchmark so the card shouldn't overheat under ordinary high load, but how can I do the recommended few hours of stability testing at such high temps? Should I just keep increasing the clock until the card reboots or I see artefacts? I did get some graphical errors on my browser afterward, but I think that was because of the high temps since it was fixed after a reboot.

Similarly, my CPU hits 85C after only a few minutes of Prime95, at which point I just shut it off. This is at stock clocks.

My case is the Antec Three Hundred with stock fans and cooling on both the GPU and CPU. Advice?

Ok you graphics card may notshow artifacts or reboot your pc.. but that doesnt mean its not getting damaged. 95 degrees is a bit over the top of the gpu's max temps.. You should always try to top it at 85/90 MAX and i mean MAX... try to keep your maximum temps around 80 for furmark.
Summed up, your card may work at 95 degrees without crashing or displaying artifacts, but lifespan of that gpu will be dramatically decreased and stability problems will show up in time. Thats my opinion at least.
Hope it helps.

Ok but unless you get a temp monitor on screen you will never know when that temp is reached. And believe me there are games which use 100% of your graphics card, try metro 2033 which temps get as high as with furmark.
