Im thinking of buying one of these wifi repeaters to connect my PC to wifi.

My plan is to plug it into a socket by my PC, then run an ethernet cable between the PC and the wifi repeater. If the repeater is connected to the router, will this connect my PC to wifi as well?

I cant see your web urls because that site is blocked at my work. So I cant say for sure if the device will work that way or not.

What you seem to be wanting is a wireless bridge, not a repeater
Access Point: wired connection from router, wireless (and also wired) to devices
Repeater: wireless connection from router, wireless to devices
Wireless Bridge: wireless connection from router, wired to devices

If you are going to buy something, then a 500-600mbps powerline adapter would be beter then wifi. TP-Link sells a decent model for $40 USD.

When it comes to performance here is the best to worst:
1) Hard wired to router with ethernet cable
2) Powerline Adapter
3) Wireless Bridge or PCI-E Wifi card
4) USB wifi dongle
5) Wireless repeater
