I want to set up a powerline for PCs in different rooms. My setup will look like this

router ---> 2-4 ethernet port powerline ---> wall --->
---> 1 ethernet port powerline for PC in bedroom
---> 1 ethernet port powerline for PC in office

However, I'm not sure if this will work. I would think that the multi-ethernet pl 'sends' the signal to multiple PCs rather than 'receiving' it from the router.

You are correct. The multiport is more for the receiving side. You can put it on the sending side, but you can only connect one ethernet cable from it to the router.

Well they share the bandwidth if they are both accessing the bridge at the same time. Not necessarily half unless they are both downloading something large enough to need half each. For general browsing, both computers together probably would not even need but about a tenth of the speed that a powerline can deliver (if it has good connection).
