Thinking of pairing these for my first build:

Motherboard:
Biostar TA970 ATX AM3+ motherboard
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/biostar-motherboard-ta970

Case:
Cooler Master N400 ATX
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-nse400...

But PCPP is giving me this message:
Cooler Master N400 ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the Biostar TA970 ATX AM3+ Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers

Are they easily compatible? Will I have to buy extra parts? Trying to use the most cost effective build. Be gentle, it is my first build and do not know much about hardware.
Thanks

You can use an adapter so you can use USB 2.0 header instead if you have enough of these on your motherboard.

If not then you gonna have to leave them.

Alos, what is your rest of the pc specs you plan for your first build?

You can get an add-on usb 3.0 card that has the 20pin usb 3.0 header on it.

Thats what I had to do with the m5a97 mobo I have in my file server.

Biostar is cheap for a reason, because they are made cheaply.

Brands to use in order:
1) ASUS
2) ASROCK
3) GIGABYTE
4) MSI

Asrock is the most economical out of the 4, anything else is made cheap and has a higher probability of failure.
