Hi!

I'm thinking of upgrading my old computer so I can run some games on it again. I was looking at the msi R7 260x or a 750ti which I can get for around 100 euros. would one of these cards make sense to buy? I plan to take the new card to a next build.

My xps 420 has a stock Q6600 core 2 quad and 4gb of ram, psu is either 375 or 425 watt (I think, will have to check it once I get home). Currently using a hd 3870 which will be replaced.

I plan on playing some recent games with it, like assassins creed 4.

Why do you recommend the 750ti?

The 750Ti can be a great boost to your machine and can run on your PSU. Also, it is rated very highly for having fantastic performance for the cheaper price. It's one of those great things for the buck.

Okay, thanks! Does the brand matter? Msi or nvidia or whatever other kind there is? Or should I just pick the cheaper one?

Brand doesn't matter for the most part. Just pick the cheaper version.

I was looking around and found the R7 260x for ~25 euros less than any 750ti. Is the 750ti worth the difference? Or can't the r7 run with my current psu?
