should I get an i5 4460 or an i3 4340 for a gaming rig?

I am on somewhat of a tight budget and was wondering what CPU I should get, I am mainly going to be playing games such as Battlefield 4 and I am not going to be doing any multitasking or editing, also I am using a GTX 770 so if I did get the i3 would it bottleneck the GPU?

yes it would and multiplayer bf4 needs a quad core

Get the i5.

Get the i3, it has a higher clock speed than that i5. The only thing better the i5 has is a 1MB larger cache, which will not make a difference in your gaming. Get the i3 for the money and power.

It also hyperthreads so cores match virtually.

I'd recommend the 8320 tbh... but if you're full on gaming go with the i5

I have an i5 4460 and a GTX 770 and they play together very nicely.
Go for the i5, from my personal experience, it is a great gaming processor.
