Installing Fedora in Place of Windows 2003

I am trying to down Fedora instead of Windows on a Dell Poweredge 2970 and for some reason it wont load when I put it in the disc drive, has anyone else had this issue?

It doesnt give an error, just goes to normal boot. I found out that the drive doesnt work anymore. Do you know any way of using a flash drive to boot?

I tried LiLi and put everything from a boot disc I used on a different computer on the USB drive and still didnt work.

Then you aren't booting from the usb drive correctly or something.

In the bios boot menu check to see if the USB drive is listed under "hard drives" instead is USB devices.

Really all lili does is (optionally) format the drive as fat32. Copy over Linux files, then install syslinux boot loader.

I put my usb drive on the top of the list and disabled everything else on the boot menu and it just says when loading up, No boot device available.

When you installed with LiLi did you remember to use "administrative" privlages? Maybe try instead http://rufus.akeo.ie

Or Maybe your bios does not like booting from USB..
