So basically I will be building a new computer soon that will be mostly used for high end gaming and some video editing. I was just wondering if these parts will be alright and if you have anything to change just let me know please as I am sure there might be better options out there, I wasn't sure on the Power Supply as I am not sure if the quality is good enough and if I should save for a better quality one or not.

Thanks.

I didn't see you want a 3TB HDD. They don't make them that big in the blue models.
There is the black version - very high performance

Or the green - quiet and cool

You don't really need the high performance, as you are just using the HDD for...

Could you suggest me a good monitor that is 1440p and is kind of in the price range of my other monitors? I can't drop the 780ti and I already have both of them as I knew I wasn't going to change them.

The RM1000 is a good PSU, but at that price point there are better ones. The RM1000 uses mostly high end Japanese capacitors, but it does have some CapXon capacitors which are known to be a little cheaper. Not saying it's a bad PSU, just there are better, and your system demands the best.

I'd go for a Rosewill Capstone with its $40 M.I.R.

Note: it is only semi-modular.

or if it's in the budget get the EVGA G2 SuperNova with a $30 M.I.R.
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g21000xr
Full modular

Both are made by Superflower, a solid maker.

Other than that minor change, it is a great monster of a system you have there.

Thanks for that I will add the supernova to my build, do you have any other recommendations to improve?

Thanks.

I'd probably get a different HDD. The red is more optimized for NAS systems. As you have an SSD for your OS/main games, you don't need to get the black. They are designed for demanding performance, but you'll just be using it for a storage drive. I'd recommend a 7200RPM blue for your system.

You don't really need the high performance, as you are just using the HDD for storage, but it is a very nice hard drive. You can't go wrong either way here.

This is how I would build the system to deal with high-end gaming and editing. This is a beast of a system and nearly follows what I am currently building as I do just what you are looking to do. The biggest difference with my build and this is I run 2 SSD's in RAID 0 for my OS drive and use CaseLabs for my case as they are designed the way you need them.

I will explain why I pick each product. But here is the list.

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JYnbRB
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JYnbRB/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.99 @ Amazon) <-- Top notch computing power

CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220 55.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($100.00 @ NCIX US) <-- Everyone loves the H100, but the Swiftech pushes more air and you can do a push pull configuration with the RAD...

Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($238.99 @ Newegg) <-- Beast of a MOBO with the ability to tweak all kinds of options and very stable and runs cool.

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($439.99 @ Newegg) <-- This RAM is the best on the market, yes it cost a little more but the cooling and tweak-ability is beyond what is needed. I set it up as 32gb as I run Adobe Master collection, while running 4-5 other programs with no hiccups. You can drop down to 16gig, but if you can swing the price of 32gb don't even hesitate...

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($119.00 @ Amazon) <-- OS drive, drivers, and monitoring software ONLY. If you're like me I would have 2 of these in RAID 0, but that's just me.

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($119.00 @ Amazon) <-- Games Drive, only have games saved no other programs

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($119.00 @ Amazon) <-- Media and Office Programs

Now I only use Velociraptors for all my storage as they have speed and stability and you can beat the hell out of them and they keep going, and going and going. Worth the money 100%

Storage: Western Digital VelociRaptor 1TB 3.5" 10000RPM Internal Hard Drive ($213.98 @ SuperBiiz) <-- Media only data storage

Storage: Western Digital VelociRaptor 1TB 3.5" 10000RPM Internal Hard Drive ($213.98 @ SuperBiiz) <-- All other Data (you can switch this to a 7200rpm drive and save $100, but I wouldn't)

Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 295X2 8GB Video Card ($1499.99 @ Amazon) <-- No need to SLI, this is the card that Microsoft and Asus used to show true 4k gaming, they used 2 of these and 3 30" $2000+ monitors at crazy ULTRA settings with no problems at all. But again the system cost $15000. This card will give you the ability to use 3+ monitors and run at the highest settings you could think of. Right now I run 2 1080p and 1 1440p (Media Monitor) at full tilt and no issues.

Case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($231.08 @ Amazon) <-- Your case looks good so I didn't change it.

Power Supply: Corsair 1200W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($267.00 @ Newegg) <-- You want to have 30% more power than your system draw at idle. And this PSU is fantastic.

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($22.10 @ Amazon) <-- Just kept yours, I use an LG BR-writer as I move allot of data.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) <-- I'm one of the odd ones that likes Win 8.1 Pro, been using it for a while, but Win 7 is good.

Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($469.99 @ Amazon) <-- Start with this monitor, then just add on. This monitor is fantastic with media work and can handle gaming, you could grab another 1080p 27" for around 250 and run them both full tilt with the Vid Card.

Total: $4394.09

This is rock solid machine that can handle just about anything to include workstation type of work. I run AutoDesk, Adobe Master Collection (now Creative Cloud), Softimage, 3dMax, Maya, and just about anything else I tinker with.
