hi, i currently have a palit nvidia geforce GTX 630, i've been having problems installing the drivers onto my computer, and until recently, the sound on my computer stopped working, the windows updates were not installing etc but everything else was working completely fine. i tried to update the drivers on my computer on the official Nvidia website and it said it wouldn't work. I even tried a clean installation and wipe the current drivers off my computer and install the ones required for my PC. But i have no reason why. My computer has no viruses what so ever, i already did a security scan to check from an anti-virus. If anyone could help me with the issue that would be great and much appreciated. Thankyou.

Some things you can check
- Enter BIOS and check to make sure the graphics card is auto detected in the slot. Make sure the Gen is set to auto instead of 1,2,3.
- If the gpu is working but the drivers just won't update then you could attempt to install drivers via disc it came with or in some BIOS you can install drivers directly from the BIOS screen.
Can you give me information like Power supply info and your motherboard?

i'm using a GPU, well the disk that i got with the graphics card is for windows 7, xp and vista and the only other thing that i can think off is installing windows 7 and then using the disk, install the drivers and then install windows 8 but then it would still erase the drivers wouldn't it? also i don't want to pay another £60/70 for another os that i may use for like an hour.
