Gigabyte AMD radeon r9 270 idle problem

I have a problem when my gpu goes into idle mode, when i come back to my computer it says in idle mode then causes my computer to freeze graphcis wise, or lag spikes every 1.5 seconds. Anyone have a fix?

Not sure what else i could put any suggestions?

Download HWInfo and run Sensors. Post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar.

mobo - just says gigabyte
yes 2 8g ram
case is the ibuypower radeon one (looks green on ibuypower)
Not sure what psu is
windows 8.1 64 bit
