I have a computer that i have put together and installed a Brand New ATI Radeon R5-230.
Installed Windows 7 Ult 64 and used it for a while and it runs fine, And then i wanted Windows 8.1 so i installed it and it does nothing but Freeze and randomly restarts, i re-installed it again and same issues so i put windows 7 ult 64 back on and it runs perfectly fine. so i did not want to give up on it and was determined to fix this issue so i removed the drive set it aside with my good windows 7 install, grabbed another hard drive installed windows 8.1 again and same darn problems and then i installed windows 7 on that drive to verify the drive was ok and windows 7 again works just fine, and then went back to 8.1 and now i am here to hopefully get some help, i do not have a chance to open up event viewer to view logs or copy the dump files or anything like that it freezes restarts too fast and i think it has something to do with my video card drivers or what not.
Also i do not know if this has anything to do with it but in device manager it showed ATI Radeon 6450 as a video card which is not right. Default windows driver. i was how ever able to see this on the event viewer long enough to remember it but was not able to click and view "Event ID 6008 Event log" - "Event ID 7039 service control"
