Hi Everyone,

Attaching my desired new computer components and a few questions, I'd appreciate your comments and suggestions for improving it.

CPU:
Intel Core i5 4690K 3.5Ghz 6MB L3 Cache s1150 - Tray

Heatsink:

‏Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler‎

Motherboard:

MSI Z97-Gaming 5 LGA1150, Intel Z97, DDR3 1600, 3xPCI-E, VGA, DVI, HDMI

Memory: (Not sure if it's a good pick)

Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9‎

PSU:

‏Seasonic 650W Active PFC Modular 80+ Gold X-650 PSU

Additional Info:

I have a gpu (GTX-260) for now it's okay, i dont have much time to play anymore (work etc') but eventually I might think to upgrade.

I would like to OC the CPU (hence i took the K version) but I would like to get your input on the motherboard, is it worth investing more and get the Maximus VII HERO? (where i am located it costs pretty much a lot more) will the MSI-Gaming-5 will be enough for 600-700 MHZ? How's it's quality?

And please if you can share your opinion on these specs.

Thanks alot,

the motherboard is fine is dont see a point of buying a costly mother board save that extra money for the GPU upgrade.
you have a very good build for memory i will choose a 2x4 gb ram instead of single 8 gb as dual channel is faster than single channel.

Hi prit87, thanks for your input, but for the slight increase in performance of the dual channel i prefer to use 1 slot and in the future to upgrade with another one as needed, and not use the whole 4 slots.

Any more opinions on this?

Thanks.

i think your build is flawless then u dont need to change anything you have not mentioned about storage so i would suggest 120 gb ssd for os and 1 tb or so as your storage drive.
