Hi,

recently i have purchased epson l800 6 color printer for 16000 bucks.

my question is simple whether i should use genuine ink or compatible ink where there is a huge price variation.
original costs 3500 for 6 colors 70 ml each where compatible costs 4100 for 6 colors 1ltr each. Where each bottle of 1 litre costs me around 700 bucks. So, if i refill it 5 times I save amount equal to a new printer (as compared to cost of original ink).

can any one help on this to why we should use genuine over compatible.

and which ink technology does epson l800 uses DYE INK, PIGMENT BASED INK OR SUBLIMATION INK.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

The L800 is unique in that it has its own tank system, instead of cartridges.

But personally, I've never had good luck with 'compatible' inks, whether carts or a CIS system. Color was off, or it clogged up the system, or both.

hi, actually the main difference between genuine and compatibles is that the compatible is a whole new cartridge you put in and a refill cartridges is your old cartridge which has been topped up in refills, the chips are not usually reset , therefore your printer may reject them. But a good quality compatible cartridge will not damage your printer because the ink is of the same quality as a genuine.

hi, there is a confusion i am not asking abount catridges, my printer is ink tank system CISS, i just need to refill ink the desired container, whether to use combatible ink or genuine ink
