Hi everyone. Recently my FX-8120 died on me and the guys at the store replaced it with a FX-8350. So far I'm satisfied with the CPU, but some minutes ago I had Blizzard's update going on and Origin's update too and the fans started going crazy at 5000+ RPM and temperatures of around 70ºC.

This worries me as I think this was the reason the other CPU died... it pushed way too much for when it wasn't needed. Could it be the voltage or is this normal?

I need your help to know what's going on since I know way too little about this.

Thanks in advance.

There's no way I can test that.

Would you recommend any coolers specifically?

No, I'm not. It was installed by professionals and the other CPU I had, FX-8120, did the same thing.

what is your room temp ??
if less than 40 then you might consider processor fault and cooler comes with amd is not good enough as rolli59 said...
if you are performing high end task such as gaming or video editing then 70 is normal for your processor and the hotter your processor will run the less the life of your processor will be

so recommend cpu cooler : H80i

You need a after market cooler those that come with this cpu sucks and two make sure you aplied the right amount of thermal paste to the cpu and but all means if you are overclocking that cpu with the stock cooler turn it off go to new egg or some other site and get a nice after market cooler,a really nice one well coast you around $40 to $50 so not that much for a lot more cooling.

You just gave the best clue to this problem you said your other CPU did the same thing and died sounds like you have a bad motherboard with a voltage problem or the guy you sent it to does not know what he is doing but I would go with voltage problem on you motherboard.
