I'm trying to use corsair link - the software provided with my h100i to control all of my fans. All of the case fans are connected but I can't max out the speed of them (2 case fans), they max out at 900rpm. On my MSI mobo this was fine but on this asus one there is a problem.

I have 2 fans at the top from my h100i bringing air in. And 2 from the front bringing air in. And then one exhausting it all at the top rear. In my h100i there is space to control 4 fans. I chose to control the h100i fans, the rear and one of the front ones. And I connected the lower front fan to a fan header on the mobo. The rest are connected to the h100i which is powered by a sata directly from my psu.

Also when I open Hwinfo64 i get a blue screen with a critical error. I've tried uninstalling corsair link but it still freezes and blue screens when I open Hwinfo64 - 64 bit, 32 bit, and I've tried it in compatibility mode.

So I'm asking, how can I open hwinfo64 and how can I increase the speed of my case fans with corsair link to above 900rpm. The 2 on the radiator of the h100i are fine. And everything is connected properly. I did turn off all fan monitoring and control in the Asus Bios, but I think I'm missing something. And is this causing hwinfo64 to crash when I open it?

Oh and if you think my psu is OTT, I plan on getting rid of this GTX770 in a week and getting a GTX870, and another GTX870 later on. But since I'm playing on a 1080p screen with a 60hz refresh rate, there's not much rush to get a second one (Waiting for GTA V on the PC).

Thank you!

are you using the provided splitter with the cooler to control your case fans with your H100i?
if so I would stop, those splitters are really only meant for push pull configuration on the Radiator. not case fan control.

go into your bios and find the fan speed section, should be under the monitor tab. Change the fan options to manual or performance. that should allow for full RPM in Link.

Corsair link and HWinfo are programs that will conflict if you're using them both. You can't have 2 set profiles on different programs going at the same time, they will conflict on fan speed and cause errors. or might not even work at all...

The reason your getting BSOD is probably a BIOS problem with HWI, can you get it to initiate the program at all? if so i would try disabling "SW SMI" on HWinfo. If not you may need a BIOS update to get it to work correctly.

Thank you so much for your response!

I did update the bios to the latest one and the issue is still there. I tried hwinfo64 without corsair link installed and it still crashed. I can't run it. I did try disabling both of those too.

Will try out the fan speed setting now! Any other tips in trying to open hwinfo64? Really annoyed with this Motherboard, there are known audio issues forcing me to buy another soundcard because the microphone picks up static noise whenever I try to use onboard audio. And asus hasn't fixed this.

edit, I tried those settings in the bios and I still can't increase the case fan speeds to above 900mhz.
