This is what I recommend.
 
Solution
Build 2 is better for performance, but Build 1 will be a better value/money.

FX 8 can be easily OCed to match i5 (which in build 2 doesn't have cooler so it'd be stuck on stock speeds). Also, both will good high settings gaming builds (limitation due to GPU), with build 2 being more upgradable in the future as it has Z97 MoBo which'll support 5th gen. 970 series MoBo of build 1 will most probably not support future AMD chips.

If you'll upgrade the build soon, then get 2nd one (it has blu-ray reader too), if you're to keep the build w/o upgrades for sometime, get the 1st one.
 

Build 2 will crush the other one. If you could get a GTX 760/770 on build 2, it would be even better.
