TF2 lag after recording

I wanted to record TF2 and i used Dxtory for it. I lowered the resolution because at my normal resolution (1680x1050) it was unplayable. I managed to play at 1280x800 at 30 fps, but the recording results were horrible. Then i tried putting it back to 1680x1050 and play normally, but it stayed at 30 fps. Also, the changes in TF2 have affected GMOD too? Usually everything is fine and at 50 fps, but now......

Ive never used Dxtory, however I know Ive used Bandicam and Fraps for recording TF2 and have had great results, even on a low end laptop and system. Trying switching up recording software starting with Bandicam, and see if that doesn't reduce the lag on your system.

I believe it has affected the graphics card in some way (idk), because all games are at 30 fps.... Also im not looking to record anymore(well not now), but just play.
