So over the course of yesterday and today, I've had 4 total BSODs come up, and I'm not entirely sure why to be honest. I haven't installed anything new (well, now that I think about it I installed a new game via Steam but aside from that just the usual Steam game updates that happen almost every day). As far as I know there have been no BIOS or Driver updates recently (unless they can update automatically I haven't done one, AMD Control Centre tells me when a Driver is available and mine is out of date). Also no new hardware has been installed.
My friend said it's possible to discern why it happens from the screen itself so I have a photo that I will attach here, however I also have the dialogue from the box that pops up upon restarting about "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down", so I'll paste that first. I'd also just like to add that the majority of these BSODs (actually all of them I think) have only happened while I've been watched anime in VLC media player on my main monitor and having Firefox open on my secondary monitor with Facebook, Tumblr, MyAnimeList, the support page for Microsoft Surface Pro, and Crunchyroll open, and keep in mind, I have been doing this long before I was getting these BSODs
Anyway, here is the dialogue:
"Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 3081
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 3b
BCP1: 00000000C0000005
BCP2: FFFFF8800F0C42EC
BCP3: FFFFF880064A6950
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1
Files that help describe the problem:

And I will also attach a photo of the BSOD.

Any help would be appreciated

Okay, I'll go to the AMD site direct and get a download. Though that confuses me as I think I've been on this driver version number for a while now (since it came available) and this is only starting to occur now, though it wont hurt to try.
Only issue afterwards is waiting for the BSOD to happen again..

Also I think my 2TB SATA drive seems to be a bit louder than usual, I'm not sure if that could have anything to do with it?
Plus my SSD with my OS only has 8.4GB left (is in the red) and is under 10% available space (which is what I've heard you should try keep your drives at).
Edit: Actually disregard that part about my SSD it seems to have jumped back up to 11ishGB free, which is odd as I could've sworn it was 8.4GB pre-BSoD

nope: the video driver was named in the bugcheck.
Note: if you are using the SSD for your windows drive you might run the following command to remove old outdated service packs to get some more free space.
start cmd.exe as an admin
then run
dism /online /cleanup-image /spsuperseded
you can also run cleanmgr.exe command to clean up other temp files, old memory .dmps ...
if you have not been doing so already.

Sorry to be a pain :s but could you point out where it says the video driver is the problem? Also I just updated it to 14.7 direct from the AMD website as you advised. Also 14.7 is actually a beta driver, so could that be the cause of the issue?
Also with typing "dism /online /cleanup-image /spsuperseded" into cmd.exe i get "Error: 87"
However windows disc cleanup did work/help

photo of the bluescreen named the amd kernal mode video driver ATIKmdag.sys and the error code
0xc0000005 indicated the driver used a address that it could not access. (most likely corrupted)
you get error 87 when it does not like one of the options specified.
try
dism.exe /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded
or dism.exe /? to look at the supported options (i am running windows 8.1 and its been a long time since I ran windows 7 so I don't recall when the various options were added to the command) You might google the dism.exe and /spsuperseded option for correct syntax. EDIT: looking I guess you also get the error 87 if the command has already been run and the files have been removed. kind of a stupid error code. I think they added the functionality to the cleanup tool so that may have removed the files and you should be ok. You would also get this error it the "windows module Installer" service was stopped and disabled. you might want to look at your running services and make sure it is running before you try the dism.exe command. Removeing the old updates can save 4 GB or so of hard drive space.

Well, after the driver update and continued use until about 2:30am here, and from what I've used today, I don't seem to be running into any problems so, thank you very much for assistance! Though this thread may get necro'd or remade if all of a sudden it does happen once again at seemingly trivial times like when I'm browsing the internet.

Okay so the BSOD has happened again, even after updating and redownloading drivers. I purchased the card on the 2nd January, and I messaged the place where I got it and they said I could send it for a repair (I had the displays completely bug/glitch out then my PC crashed), but I dont know if its worth having it looked at for repair or pursuing a refund though the store doesnt stock the particular model anymore.
Ugh this is the first AMD card I've ever had and it has just not been a fun ride...
