Hey guys,

I have a Cooler Master 850w silent pro m2 and would like to crossfire 2 r9 290's. Will this psu be sufficient to power these GPU's?

Thanks,

Albert.

Well, 850W is the minimum to go with R9 290 CF. But in your case, it's not recommended. Your PSU isn't of the best quality, nowhere near. Its tier 3 and must not be used for CF. Buy a better PSU.

@zeyuanfu, a high quality 850W or 1kW to be on the extremely safe side would be enough, and I'd NOT use CM PSUs for such high end builds.

Antec HCG/ SeaSonic S/M12II/X series/ XFX Pro series/ EVGA G1/G2 850W or higher models would be good for the purpose :)

You will need at least 1100-1300 watts. Also, I would use a CM PSU.
