Hi,

I've tried to search the internet for answers on this specific issue I have, but the search results were not related to my problem.

I have two monitors, one which is a 1920 x 1200 with DisplayPort input, and the other is a 1920 x 1080 with HDMI input.

My graphics card is a Radeon HD 6850 which has two DVI outputs, one HDMI and one DisplayPort.

I've connected the displayport to my 1920x1200 screen and the hdmi to my 1920x1080 screen. Video works just fine on both resolutions. My problem is the audio output, which I would like to have enabled over the HDMI output to my 1920x1080 screen (this monitor has audio speakers). Currently the audio is ouputting to my 1920x1200 monitor (which also has audio speakers, but not as good as the 1080 one).

So first of all, is it even remotely possible to choose over which cable the audio will go through? If so, how can I enable it to go through the HDMI cable?

Note: I'm using Windows 8.1

Hmm, that's weird.

I just restarted my PC and suddenly Windows chose to send audio over my HDMI connection.

When restarting, Windows 8.1 did an update and now my Sound window looks like this: http://puu.sh/becit/be085bbca6.png
Note the (HDMI) part, it replaced (DisplayPort) after restarting.
